Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  I believe the cornerstone of a strong democracy is a free and fair election system.  To that end, we each have a responsibility to rid our election system of the many institutional, procedural and legal barriers that needlessly keep people from voting. 

As the longest serving elected official in Cook County, I am proud of my record and my efforts to reform elections here and across the country.  But whether administering elections or improving access to public records, the success of my reforms is best reflected in my Leadership, Accountability, Innovation, and Efficiency.
